If so, join a group of like-minded individuals at the OEC SOCIETY. This volunteer organization is dedicated to supporting the Offshore Energy Center (OEC) and the Ocean Star
Offshore Drilling Rig Museum and Education Center.
The OEC is based in Houston, Texas, the world's energy capital, it is dedicated to expanding awareness of the vast energy resources available beneath the world's oceans and to chronicling the unique heritage and technological accomplishments of the industry that discovers, produces, and delivers energy resources to mankind in a safe and environmentally responsible way.
The OEC mission is accomplished through the Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig Museum and Education Center docked at Pier 19 in Galveston, Texas; educational programs for students in kindergarten to grade 12; college intern events; quarterly Executive Speaker Series luncheons; and fundraisers such as the annual Ocean Star gala and fishing and golf tournaments.
