Robert C. “Bob” Visser
Robert C. “Bob” Visser was involved with offshore development for sixty years - thirty years with Shell and then another thirty years as an independent offshore consultant. During his career he was involved in a great variety of projects. He pioneered early design and construction of platforms and pipelines in the Gulf of Mexico, conceived harsh-weather systems to support floating drilling offshore the US West Coast, managed design and installation of innovative platforms and pipelines to withstand ice and currents in Cook Inlet, Alaska and managed the development of the heavy oil Beta field offshore California.
